Church Doctrinal Statements
Goshen Gospel Church Believes:
1. The Trinity of the Godhead:
We believe there is one living and true God who exists eternally in three co-equal Persons, the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19)

2. The Diety and Humanity of Jesus Christ
We believe that from all eternity Jesus Christ was the Son of God. He took on Himself humanity by the virgin birth. However, His humanity was sinless. He died for
our sins and rose again the third day and today is the God-man in glory, making intercession for believers. (John 1: 1,14 Hebrews 1:8, John 20:28)
3. The Personality and Diety of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person -- the third Person of the Trinity -- who guides sinners to Christ and enables Christians for service. (John 14:16-18
Romans 8:20,28)
4. The Inspiration of the Bible
We believe that the whole Bible in the original writings,was given word for word by the Holy Spirit to holy men. It is God's infallible and preserved revelation to
humanity and therefore its authority is absolute, supreme and final. (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16)
5.The Fall and Sinfulness of Humanity
We believe that all human beings, since the Fall of Adam, are born with a sinful nature, are totally corrupted and in need of a Saviour from sin. (Genesis 1:26,
Jeremiah 17:9, Acts 4:12)
6. The Atonement
We believe that the Lord Jesus died once for all and shed His blood as the one entirely sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. (1John 2:1,2, 1 Peter 3:18
Hebrews 9:12)
7. The Necessity of the New Birth
We believe that due to the total corruption of the human nature, people must experience a spiritual rebirth to become children of God. We are saved by grace
through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement alone. We also believe that this saving faith will result in good works in the life of the believer. (John 3:1-8
Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 2:11-14)
8. Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men: the just to everlasting joy and bliss in the presence of Jesus Christ forever, the unjust to everlasting condemnation
in hell. (John 5:28-29, 1 Corinthians 15, Revelation 20:11-15)
9. The Evangelization of the World
We believe that the supreme mission of the Church in this age is to witness for Christ, to motivate and equip the saints to reach if possible every person in the
world with the Gospel. (Matthew 22:37-39, Matthew 28: 18-20)
10. The Return of Christ
We believe that the present age will end with the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, first to receive His Church to Himself, and then to establish His Kingdom on
earth to reign over it for a thousand years. (Isaiah 9:6-7, 1Thessalonians 4: 13-18, Revelation 20: 6
